About me
Sam is a pioneer in machine learning and a dynamic entrepreneur with a proven track record in investing, building, and scaling startups. He is currently spearheading a new AI project backed by over $7 million in venture capital funding. Before this venture, Sam served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Inovia Capital, one of Canada’s premier venture capital firms.
Sam co-founded Maluuba, a groundbreaking machine learning startup that brought AI to over 100 million devices. Microsoft acquired Maluuba for over $160 million, and its team became the core of Microsoft's AI division.
Sam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and a Master’s degree in Political Science from the London School of Economics.
