Bangdi has extensive experience in quantitative finance at two leading global firms, Barclays and Bank of America. He is a certified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM).

Currently, Bangdi serves as the Assistant Vice President of Quantitative Analytics at Barclays, where he leads the development and implementation of quantitative macroeconomic models that inform the firm’s strategic investment decisions. Previously, he was a Quantitative Management Associate at Bank of America, where he applied advanced machine learning and natural language processing techniques to address enterprise-wide challenges in statistical modeling, surveillance, and the quantification of climate impact on financial portfolios.

During his college years, Bangdi interned with Bank of America’s Quantitative Analytics team, focusing on predictive and risk model enhancement, and with China Securities’ Quantitative Research team, where he developed and refined quantitative trading models.

Born and raised in China, Bangdi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Environment, and Resources from Renmin University and a Master’s degree in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business.
